Nare Head from Portscatho
date: 7th August 2006
size: 31 x 35 cms
price: £300
This painting was inspired by a similar image I saw by an English painter called Jane Patterson. She painted a
similar view of Nare Head which made a strong impression on me, so I decided to go to Portscatho and paint my own version.
At the time I had also been looking at work by artists such as Bonnard and the Fauves. I tried to include something
of their freedom and spontaneity and not obsess over details but enjoy the act of painting itself.
The Creek at Perranarworthal

price: £300
Painted over three different days at Perranarworthal between Falmouth and Truro.
View from Trevean Cliff
date: 9th August 2006
size: 34 x 38 cms
price: £300
Penwith is a favourite spot of mine to go painting, as it is of many other Cornish painters who I rate highly. This area of Cornwall is
west of St Ives and the Cornish coastal path runs along the top of the cliffs there.
